Some of the best Shrimp and seafood around! I love their shrimp (on Wednesdays it's all you can eat) and my husband loves their a trigger fish. We frequent the place often because it's well worth it! We recommend it to all our friends and family and they love it too.
Local seafood and friendly faces paired with a gorgeous marsh view! The scallops were perfectly seared and seasoned to perfection. If you are looking for good food and a great atmosphere, this is it!
My wife and I were traveling and just checking out St Mary’s for the day. We stopped in for lunch (really a combo lunch and supper). We sat inside with a view of the waterfront so that was nice. We ordered the Crab Dip for an appetizer and it was outstanding. My wife had fried oysters and scallops and loved them. I had fried shrimp and blackened scallops. The shrimp were perfectly fried and the blackened scallops were the best I have had in years. Price was fair for the large helpings. Service was first class. Should we ever be in the area again we will definitely be back.
The scallops, mussels, shrimp, ahi Tuna, dungeness crab and catch of the day all were delicious and cooked perfectly. If I had to pick a favorite I'd say the dungeness crab! Alex, the bartender is attentive, friendly and exudes southern hospitality. And the sunset views were spectacular!! We loved it so much went back the next night.
All of the locals recommended this place, so we had to check it out. Now, I can see why. Four of us went here for dinner last night. Two of us ordered the all you can eat shrimp platter, I got the Fried Oysters platter and our landlubber friend had Fettuccine Alfredo. We all enjoyed our dishes. Cooked to perfection. Oh, on the all you can eat shrimp platter, the ladies did not order a second round. Service was fast and the food was fresh. Our server Roe made sure all of our needs were taken care of. In short we enjoyed our meal. My one complaint or suggestion would be to consider some noise abatements measures. It was so loud that we had to shout to hear each other. It was really crazy loud.
We hosted a baby shower for our son. Then screened off half the restaurant for our event (we had 60) people. They had the room all arranged exactly as I had requested it. I like in Texas and flew in to host this event. They zoomed with me in advance to show me the space they were giving me. Also met on the call the Chef and planned out the menu. Super easy to work with!Kay was all over the planning and organization. Chad put together a fantastic meal plan. He did three completely different meals with their own sides etc. Jambalaya with cabbage and Jalapeño cheddar hush puppies (literally the best I’ve ever had). Blackened trigger fish with asparagus and then chicken Alfredo with garlic bread. All The food was really great. Well received. They put out take home boxes for everyone for left overs which was appreciated. I basically can’t say enough good things about the restaurant. Definitely worth stopping for a meal - especially on a Friday or Saturday night when the Chef adds specials to the menu.
My husband and I ate at this restaurant tonight we are from out of town and it was our first time. The food was absolutely spot on everything was delicious. How waitress was great as well I cannot remember her name I just know she had red hair but she was amazing definitely wish we had something like this in our area!!! Recommend to try this place. You don't want to miss out!
Food and service was great. We enjoyed the scallops wrapped in bacon, my girls had Alfredo with chicken one the Alfredo. Also shrimp and grits, I had steak and crab cakes. And dessert. Tried all a different dessert it was perfect. Every time I come to home town. I stop here.
When I travel for work I usually try to find smaller local places that I can't get at home. I drove to Georgia just to have dinner here, and it was 100% worth the drive from Florida while I was there for work. I had the filet mignon with scallops, hush puppies, and the local slaw, and everything was fantastic. The scallops were blackened just as I wanted them, and they were extra plump and juicy. The medium rare steak was perfect and had a very distinct but very good taste to it that I've not had anywhere else. The local slaw had a very fresh taste and the hush puppies were some of the best I've had and sweet butter sauce that came with it, not sure what it was, but it was game changing for hush puppies from now on! After eating I walked along the dock and got some early beautiful pictures, it was dark, but the lighting in the atmosphere is perfect.
I had an amazing lunch at Locals Dockside in St. Marys, Georgia. As returning customers, I can confidently say this place never disappoints. The service was excellent — a special shout-out to the staff for being so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food is outstanding: fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I truly had a great time and always enjoy the relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere here. Locals Dockside continues to be one of my favorite spots, and we look forward to many more visits.
